In china, the asphalt resource is not adequate. Because of the low prices and resources-rich of the cement, the cement concrete pavement will have better development prospects. Concrete is a brittle material and this shortcomings will impact on its development. It is good method to mix a certain proportion of fibers in the concrete for improving its brittle property. In this article, in order to make concrete performing better on road engineering, the brucite fiber is mixed in cement concrete as a new type of concrete pavement materials.In this article, the brucite fiber concrete material properties and influencing factors are studied. By comparing experiment, the impact of the types of brucite fiber, incorporation, superplasticizer, sand rate, water-cement ratio on the strength and the workability of the brucite fiber reinforced concrete are investigated. The scope of the various parameters are identified. Basing on the laboratory studies, the technical parameters as tensile strength, water-cement ratio, sand ratio, the amount of water, sand and gravel are identified. Through a large number of experiment in the Engineering Testing Laboratory , the engineering mix proportion is ascertained. Finally, according to the actual material properties and the Technical Specification for Construction of Highway Cement Concrete Pavements, the engineering mix proportion has been done and the testing road is paved. Experimental results show that design and construction specifications have been met, when the HQ-UNF Naphthalene super plasticizer (dry method) and the TC-AN Amino Super plasticizer (moist method) is used, Water-cement ratio between 0.34~0.41and sand rate between 0.35 ~ 0.38.The final engineering mix proportion with the ratio of cement: water: sand: gravel: brucite fiber: admixture = 1:0.389:1.344:2.495:0.043:0.01.Compared with the steel fiber reinforced concrete pavement materials, the cement consumption of the brucite fiber reinforced concrete is reduced ,its performance is improved and its cost is reduced by 56%. So it has good prospects for economic benefits and applications.
