Brucite nano-fiber exists as a natural nanofiber minerals in the nature, theproperty cover brucite nano-fiber with a layer of mysterious veil. But people thoughit belong to asbestos in the past for a long time, so the research of brucite fiber bedelayed. Although asbestos still have many controversy at the present stage, beforepeople determined that some asbestos is harmless to the human body, We mustexplore a safer substitutes of asbestos. Due to brucite nano-fiber’snano-characteristics, and the world into an nano boom at the same time, brucitenano-fiber attract people’s attention again. and our country is rich in brucitenano-fiber of mineral resources. So, How to get the resources obtain reasonable use?Is brucite Nano-fiber enough to safely to replace asbestos fiber? how the quality ofproduct made of brucite nano-fiber? All these problems has great value in research.The main content of this article is the research of dispersion of brucite nano-fiber,and brucite-nano-fiber-reinforced cement mortars’ preparation and performance,prepare brucite-asbestos inorganic insulation board and the study of itsperformance.In the study of Brucite nano-fiber’s dispersion, this paper explored thedispersion technology of brucite nano fiber, Through sedimentation test, zetapotential measurement, viscosity measurement and microscopic analysis to evaluatethe dispersive effect. Research results show that high-speed stirring with Scattermachine combined with chemical release dispersed can well dispersed brucitenano-fibers, The OT penetrant exhibited a relatively better dispersant effect amongthe three selected dispersers. Water solid ratio and dosage of penetrant has thelargest influence for the dispersion of brucite nano-fibers. According to the resultsof the zeta potential, most of the brucite nano-fibers paste in a stable state. Moreover,the brucite nano-fibers paste viscosity also decreases with the increase ofwater-paste ratio, and increases with the increase of dosage of OT penetrant.In the study of brucite nano-fiber cement mortars, we found that OT penetrantis harmful to performance of cement mortars, we should choose naphthalene-basedsuperplasticizer to prepar brucite nano-fiber cement mortars. The fluidity andmechanics performance were tested, the microstructure of the brucite nano-fibercement mortars was analyzed in the laboratory experiments. Research results showthat the optimum quantity of brucite nano-fibers was about2%of cement, theflexural strength of brucite nano-fiber cement mortars is4.8%,9.7%,10%higher,respectively than matrix aluminum in3d,7d and28d instars, and compressivestrength in3d,7d and28d instars is increased by6.7%,13.6%,11.6% correspondingly.In the laboratory experiments of brucite-asbestos inorganic insulation board,we need to pay attention to the beating speed and dry forming system, dosage of OTpenetrating agent in the process of preparation, and must employ high-speed mixingprocess, the experiments adopt1000r/min of Stirring speed, in dry molding startperiod, the drying temperature can not be higher than100℃, OT penetrant contentcan not less than15%of the quality of fiber. the apparent density of Asbestosinsulation board is about35kg/m3, the coefficient of thermal conductivity is about0.03W/m K, and with the increasing of water-solid ratio, the apparent density andthe coefficient of thermal conductivity of the concrete decreases gradually. Aftermixed brucite nano-fiber. the optimum content of brucite nano-fiber was15%ofsbestos content, this dosage of brucite nano-fibers can effectively improved internalpore of insulation board, thus reduce the apparent density and thermal conductivityof inorganic insulation board. And appropriately improve the brucite nano fiberpreparation of inorganic insulation board can meet the performance requirements ofthe specifications for thermal insulation material. And the compound inorganicinsulation board can meet the performance specification requirements of thespecifications for thermal insulation material.
