Compared with the track traffic in the urban center, the regional rail line has many characteristics such as larger average station distance , non-uniform space distribution of the passenger flow and flexible ways in transport organization, and gradually becomes a rapid passenger transport channel between the central urban district and the urban periphery. The study on theories and methods of transportation organization is key to post-stage operation, including optimization of resource allocation, improvement of equipment availability, determination of the train running-plan, also the study has certain influence to pre-planning in Urban Railway Traffic line. Based on the theory and practice of operating, Several issues of transportation organization of the regional rail line has been proposed by the use of system theory, according to the character of the passenger flow in regional rail lines.Firstly, according to the analysis of passengers flow in the early, the near future and the future stages and existed urban railway traffic lines' operation situation, with its adaptability to various vehicle types and the train classifications, the train classifications in different operation periods and the same period is... discussed.Secondly, with the goal of optimum matching between the actual passenger volume and transportation standard capacity, this paper has constructed the nonlinear integer programming model for train operating interval on one-section lines basing on discretion of the interval. On the basis of spatial difference of passenger flow in the regional rail lines, the optimization model for multi sectional train operating interval has been established, as the train operating interval and ratio has great influence on the number of vehicles used in the entire line when different train routing modes adopted. Taking nested routing mode as an example, this paper also researches the rational interval of multi sectional train and completes the model solution with fuzzy mathematical programming theory to prove its validity and feasibility in the instant. Train routing mode and stop schedule plan are key influence factors of transportation operation optimization. The different losses of transport capacities are caused by crossing routes when the regional rail line takes different reentrant patterns in the middle switchback stations. Adaptability analysis is accomplished on Turn-back capacity of switchback stations according to different train routing mode. In addition, the model of appropriate running pattern on regional urban rail transit line is established on the purpose of reducing passenger's total travel time, and theoretical research is applied to make an analysis on the operation form and condition of Express/Slow train program and skip-stop running program.
