The fast development of economy, the reckless exploiter of natural resource, and the free use of environment have resulted in the whole world ecological damage, the resources waste and the environmental pollution. The machine-madding industry is one of the biggest resource users, and is also one of biggest pollution sources. The entire humanity's living environment faces with the product reject pressure and resources deficient question day by day. In order to protect the environment, and to realize the rational use of resource and the energy,"the green action"plan is implemented in various countries. Today the green products are more and more popular, and the diesel engine becomes one of focal points to which the people pay attention. The thesis has constructed entire life cycle appraisal system for small and medium power diesel engine initially, which provides certain references for the production of"the green diesel engine".First, the entire life cycle assessment development and the technical frame are elaborated systematically, and machinery product life cycle assessment, including the evaluating standard formulation, evaluating indicator determination, assessment methods and so on, is introduced dentally according to the life cycle assessment thought. And then the appraisal system for machinery product entire life cycle is established.Next, the entire life cycle assessment is carried on for the small and medium power diesel engines. According to the entire life cycle appraisal step, the appraisal goal and the scope are determined, and the detailed list is analyzed, and the result influence on the assessment is made. The improvement suggestion to decrease pollution of small and medium power diesel engine is given according to the measure results, which provides the basis for the entire life cycle assessment system construction. The entire life cycle appraisal system is set initially for the diesel engines.Finally, considering the actual situation, taking the diesel engine abandonment recycling as the main appraisal part, taking the 115TD model small and medium power diesel engine as an example, dividing the diesel engine into ten parts, the evaluation is carried on through the fuzzy analytic hierarchy method, and the fuzzy appraisal matrix is obtained. This matrix can take the theory reference foe small and medium power diesel engines in green design and the manufacture aspect, small and medium power diesel engine's entire life cycle assessment is possible to achieve the optimization. This thesis provides certain theory basis for diesel engine green design, the clean production, and recycled aspects and so on.
