Motor drive system is one of the key technologies of electric vehicle. Due to the leading development of power electronic and its control technology, motor drive system is developing rapidly. Induction motor is the best choice for electric vehicle for its simple structure, reliable operation, low cost and high power density. The control method of induction motor for fuel cell vehicle is studied in this thesis.In this dissertation, the foundation of study on control methods of induction motor for fuel cell vehicle is introduced first. The test platform and method for automotive fuel cell hybrid power train is introduced briefly. The feasibility of power distribution unit for fuel cell vehicle is analyzed. The operating and control principle of induction motor is analyzed. And a control strategy, which can increase the efficiency of induction motor and provide a good dynamic torque response performance, is determined preliminarily by the simulation.Then, the hardware of motor controller is developed, including main circuit and control circuit. The hardware not only can realize all the basic functions of induction motor controller, but also the reliability is high. It can meet the requirements of the automotive running environment. The software of motor controller is also developed. The automatic code generation method based on MATLAB/Simulink is used. The implementation of PWM in TI TMS320F2812 is the basis of the software. The research platform of induction motor control for electric vehicle is the basis of the research, which is composed of the hardware and software of motor controller.Finally, constant proportion of voltage to frequency control, slip frequency control and vector control are implemented with the motor controller. Through correlative experiments, the advantages and disadvantages of those control methods are discussed and summarized. A practical control method of induction motor for electric vehicle is presented. The experimental results show that the motor controller realizes all the basic functions as an induction motor controller for electric vehicle. Due to the high driving capability, outstanding torque stability and fast dynamic response, the power performance of the motor control system is close to that of a certain foreign advanced driving motor control system, which can fulfill the requirement of electric vehicle.
