Compared with electric vehicles and Internal Combustion Engine vehicles, hybrid vehicles have many advantages in respect of power and economy. It equipped with two systems, a gasoline engine and electric motor. Compared with vehicles in the same grade, hybrid vehicles make the little fuel consumption but improve the emissions at least one level, which makes it became a new hot spot for car development in both home and abroad. As the key part of power, permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) plays an important part in hybrid vehicles. It is of great academic and practical significance to research its control algorithm.Firstly, this dissertation summed up the advantages of hybrid vehicles and its prospect, and introduced the present situation at home and abroad. As the subject of this dissertation, permanent magnet synchronous motor is widely applied in hybrid vehicles, because of its high efficiency, high power density and good performance in modulating velocity. The dissertation also introduced the present situation of PMSM and its control algorithm. The mathematical model of PMSM has been built, based on the theoretical analysis of PMSM. According to the principle of space vector PWM control, a Field-Oriented control (FOC) system based on space-voltage vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) is proposed in this dissertation. The simulation model of PMSM based on FOC has been also built, furthermore, a lot of simulation researches have been done based on these models. The digital signal processor TMS320F2812 produced in TI company is used as kernel control chip to design the control system. The principle of the Resolver and its decoder chip and their application in the system would be detailed later. The test bench of hybrid vehicles has been briefly introduced in this dissertation, the components of the bench and its functions are summarized later.Finally, according to the analysis of the experimental results, some conclusions of this dissertation have been proved. Ideas for future are also proposed.
