Combined with one project, this article analyzes the frame-tube structure with transfer story, and put forward some design proposals about the form of transformation that the project adopts.When the forms of transformation adopt the beam transformation, truss transformation and brace transformation compares with the different properties of force performance, especially the seismic performance in the earthquake. This article discusses the difference in different forms of transformation. For example, it compares with natural periods of the structure and ratio of the periods, lateral stiffness and ratio of equivalent lateral stiffness, seismic force and overturning moment, displacement of the structure and ratio of the displacement. And it also analyzes that different forms of transformation will influence the adjacent storey of the transfer storey. This article put forward that the beam transformation can effectively prevent the stress concentration in the adjacent storey of the transfer storey. It makes some complement calculation for the seismic response of this kind of structure in using elastic time history analysis. The result shows that the elastic time history analysis is far less than the spectrum analysis in six-degree earthquake regions. This article compares the economic pros and cons for different forms of transformation and proposes one that more economical form for the reference design. Taking into account the structure with transfer storey causes stress concentration in weak positions, this article makes some complement calculation for the weak positions of structure with ANSYS software.
