With the deepening of railway's development by leaps and bounds and upgrading of levels on railway wagons'design & manufacturing, and under the new situations of railway wagons'heavy-loading and accelerating, automatization of railway wagons'manufacturing is being advanced greatly, the new materials and processes are applied extensively. In the meantime the reliability and safety of railway wagons manufacturing are attached a high importance. In these days the design of our nation's railway wagons has reached the international advanced level whereas the engineering quality still has a long way to go. It's mainly because our management means, methods and patterns need to be improved except that our process equipment, process method and personnel makings are not so good. The progress of management is very slow, especially quality management is roughly conducted, process control is kind of human nature, quality management lacks the full participation of all employees, implementation crisis is true, the consciousness of innovation is a shortage, and input and output are not symmetrical and corresponding to each other accordingly. Thus the upgrading of management methods is an urgency.After examining the future trend of railway wagons manufacturing, except for upgrading of methods and personnel makings, the more important and potential should be to seek innovated and excellent management methods and operating patterns so as to remedy the faults resulted from process and personnel problems. Therefore, it is significant that we develop the research on the standard operating method of railway wagons manufacturing in the realm of not so consistent group operating.The design of standard operating method with the regard to Bogie K6, in the principle of practicality, versatility and bringing all employees into play best, include parts machining and fitting, process moving, bogie assembly and quality inspection, and attain the coordination and unification of overall process that normalize procedure documents, working behavior, quality control and production flow management, and further move them up to a culture, a idea and good habit. In the meanwhile, based on the concept of"people foremost", it integrates and innovates and improves the contents that are to be controlled independently and relate closely to quality in the realm of process and quality so as to achieve the aims of manufacturing process standardization, management flow standardization, procedure documents standardization, improvement continuation and operational inspection standardization.The implementation of this"Bogie K6 standard operating method"will not only enhance the manufacturing plane of Bogie K6, but put forward the most convenient and practical operating pattern for operators, and it fully embodies the principle of all employees participation and continual improvement with respect to operating documents, records reform and flow optimization, and it has profound meaning and vitality, and its practices and experiences could also be further extracted and extended accordingly.
