Nowadays, people pay more and more attention to environment pollution. As one of the tetracycline antibiotics, the tetracycline residuals could cause serious pollution, and do harm to people's health. So, the tetracycline measurement research has become the hot issue in the society.Tetracycline measurement usually carried in laboratory, which has deficiency in real-time test and field test. Therefore, it is necessary to develop the portable and rapid analyzer to measure tetracycline outdoors. The rapid tetracycline analyzer designed makes use of MIT sensor and tri-electrode testing method. It realizes the measurement through choosing single-chip microcomputer as the core, and LCD module to display the processed data. There are mainly three parts in the development of tetracycline analyzer. Firstly, it introduces the detailed functions and design rules of the analyzer. Secondly, it described the hardware and software design in detail. In the hardware design, it introduces the overall structure of the analyzer, and shows us the way to choose the significant chip, then it exploits the key parts of high precision measure, potentiostat and I/V convert circuit. In the software design, it employs the module design ways, separately showing us the whole measure process, LCD driver, analog to digital converting program, keyboard program and filter program design. Thirdly, it verifies the stability of the designed potentiostat, and examines the precision of the apparatus. The results show that the analyzer has good precision. The analyzer can measure the current range from 1μA to 100μA with the precision of 0.1μA, and meet the design requirement which possesses short measuring time, low power and simple configuration.
