With the accelerated pace of economic globalization and informatization of manufacturing industry, manufacturing industry faces a fierce competition, guaranteeing and improving product quality has become the key to the survival and development of enterprise. For this, issues concerning design quality control (DQC) are analyzed from the viewpoint of product data management (PDM), this dissertation discusses the integration of quality control tools under the PDM environment, optimizes product design process model, and some DQC process models are offered in order to improve the design process quality. The whole dissertation is divided into seven chapters:Chapter one reviews the research status of design quality control, summarizes representative design process model, discusses the make-up and effect of PDM and PDM system in detail, analyzes the probability of DQC based on PDM, presents this dissertation's research contents, and give the major contents of each chapter.Chapter two presents the control contents and control method of design quality, analyzes the effect factors of product design quality, analyze the control content of design quality in term of quality planning, quality review, design input, design output, design verification, design confirmation, design alteration and so on.Chapter three is about the signification of design quality information and matching method. It firstly analyzes the need of quality information in term of surveying, conceptual design, general design, detailed design, trial production, builds the design quality information model, puts forward the triple of design quality matching, calculates the Chinese text strings' similarity based on HNC theory and semantic distance, realizes the quantification and comparison of design quality information.Chapter four analyzes product design process model based on PDM, and the three quality activities (quality planning, quality monitoring and quality improving), describes quality activity using WPDL language, raises DQC process model based on PDM, analyzes the mapping relationship of the model.Chapter five researches the design quality knowledge obtaining and management method, provides the model of design process quality knowledge processing, and describes knowledge integration, knowledge exteriorization, knowledge internalization, knowledge grouping of this model. Aiming at knowledge integration process, provides a knowledge-integration-oriented, design process quality knowledge model base on ontology.According to the research of design quality information and control process model, Chapter six provides the function module, general structure, database structure of DQC system, and introduces the system development environment and tool, specify system implementation and operation, an application case is analyzed.Chapter seven summarizes the research content of the whole dissertation, and points out the future research work.
