This article targets small and medium-sized organizations that overlook qualitycontrol in the product designing stage, and therefore causes low success rate in thedevelopment of new products. By illustrating the development of mowing robot byChangZhou Heli Appliances Co. Ltd, the theories and applications of quality control in theproduct research and development are discussed comprehensively. These innovativestudies provide reference for enterprises.First started with the concept of design quality, the common problems and functionconsisting of electromechanical product, the five component elements, internal functionand common key technologies are analyzed and studied. On the basis of these conclusions,nine factors that influence design quality are presented. Second, the quality positioningmodel and customer demands investigation model for Intelligent Robot Mower aresummarized by studying quality positioning theory and customer survey methodology.Then, combining with arithmetic and Intelligent Robot Mower as an example, the qualityassurance process is detailed analyzed based on these conclusions. Finally correspondingstrategy is discussed in detail by focusing on the quality management for the specificelectromechanical products design process. It embodies the management for IntelligentRobot Mower design process, quality control and design implementation. All of these areto form integrated system architecture of design quality management.
