With the continuous development of automobile electronic technology to automobile and function of human needs, the future of higher expectation for cars in fuel consumption, exhaust emissions, power and comfort requirements will increasingly high. Among them, electronic and electric vehicle is the development trend of future automobile industry. Therefore, a large number of high-tech applications in cars, with the rapid growth of electricity of car. The traditional 14V automobile electrical system of power is only about 3KW (battery voltage is 12V). It can't meet the need, and the increase of power leads to more current. Cars will adopt more thick wires, increasing the car cost and energy consumption. If didn't increase the current, the most effective ways will be improving voltage of automobile electrical system. As the next generation of automobile electrical system standards voltages, 42V electrical system has become the international agreement.There are two kinds of feasible scheme about the new electrical system in hybrid electric vehicles. Whole 42V electrical system and 42V/14V mixed electrical system. The former has cause bigger impact to the automotive industry, and the latter has greater compatibility. The former would impact automotive industry severely, and the latter has greater compatibility. The paper makes a basis study of 42V/14V electrical system on the application of cars based on the related research. The main research is as follows.First, the paper analyzes the causes of boosting automobile electrical system, introducing the development and technology trends of automobile electrical systems. It also discusses the influence to key parts of 42V electrical system, such as vehicle engine, battery and vehicle.Secondly, the paper studies and compares batteries scheme of current hybrid cars, and studies VRLA battery charging method of Hybrid cars 42V electrical system. The paper explores the DC/DC converter topology structure of hybrid cars, and puts effective scheme to improve efficiency of DC/DC converter. Finally, the paper introduces integrated start-up generator system installation, which is the core device of 42/14V electrical system; it proposes design scheme of ISG system based on Switched Reluctance Motor, analyzing transient voltage and electromagnetic interference from the booting of car's power, and expanding basic methods to solve them. The paper completes start experiment and debugging based on switch reluctance motor on the basis of theoretical research, and verifies the ISG system based on the switched reluctance motor can satisfy the need of 42/14 electrical system.At present, automobile electrical system develop from 14V to 42V is an inevitable trend. Mixed 42V/14V electrical system will be exist as a transitional phase, and it would bring shock, opportunities, challenges to domestic vehicles and automobile parts manufacturers.This is the domestic automobile and automobile parts manufacturers have brought shock, opportunities and challenges. At the same time, it will bring new electrical technology revolution. to car industry.
