As we all know, "practice is the sole criterion for testing truth." Scientific experiment plays an important role in understanding and exploring the laws of nature for human. It is can be said that no experiment, no modern science. Hydraulic technology is one basic course of the Mechanical Engineering. Hydraulic teaching practice shows that only through the combination of theoretical and experimental can this course achieve good teaching results. In order to meet the requirements of modern hydraulic teaching, this pa-per design a PLC-based control of multi-function hydraulic test stand. According to the requirements of the hydraulic test stand, it designs the overall program of the hydraulic system. Furthermore, hydraulic simulation software has been used in the experiment stat-ion successfully. Finally, it design control procedures of the test bed. This kind of multi-function hydraulic teaching test stand has a broad application prospects.Firstly, this paper does a comprehensive review for the traditional and modern hydraulic comprehensive experimental research, and a detailed analysis of tends of modern comprehensive hydraulic test stand. It does a detailed theoretical analysis for commonly used hydraulic components and the composition and the basic principles of the basic hydraulic circuits. It has laid a reliable theoretical basis for the design of the multi-function hydra-hydraulic test stand, and has provided the basis for the application of simulation software.Secondly, it designs the hydraulic circuit of the multi-function hydraulic test stand using the idea of modular design. It optimizes each module to design the hydraulic circuit diagram multi-function hydraulic test stand, and it does a detailed description for the function, then it draws solenoid valve action plan.In addition, it analyzes the main hydraulic simulation software by comparing t-he characters of them. Then it chooses the reasonable hydraulic simulation software for the test stand, and the software makes its due role in the multi-function hydraulic test stand. At last, simulation the typical circuit is done to test the rationality of the design.At last, the paper defines PLC input and output in order to meet the requirement of hydraulic system and electrical system, and construct the input and output address distribution list. Then finish the design of PLC control program.
