Study Of Black-start Applications For Pumped-storage Power Station

With the technique development of the power grid, the constructions of extra-high voltage power grid will start rapidly across the aboard, and the safe and stable operation of the power grid becomes very important. Black-start scheme is one of the programs to realize the above requirements. In this paper, we give a general overview of the research status, a detail description of the crucial techniques, and some theoretical analysis and numerical simulation of self-excitation and over-voltage about black-start at first; and a black-start experiment in the range of a pumped-storage power station is accomplished by utilizing diesel generator; and then a black-start experiment in the range of a district power grid is accomplished by utilizing a large scale thermoelectricity unit. The above experimental experience and results have realistic significance for setting up the salvage programs to the power gird.
