Study On Reuse Of Industrial Heritage In Dalian

As an important member of Northeast old industrial base, Dalian's industrial development history is even earlier than its history of urban development. With the accelerated process of urban modernization, enterprises in the city have to transform or been removed. Today, the living environment of Dalian's industrial architectural heritage is subject to varying degrees of threats. This article, directed against Dalian, a city that is rich of industrial architectural heritage but has not yet the reuse practice of it, tries to explore the reuse of industrial architectural heritage from an architectural point of view, through forming a series of basic information by survey and analysis on status quo of Dalian's industrial architectural heritage, while investigating the way of reuse to Dalian's industrial architectural heritage, based on the thinking of industrial building, and combined with actual facts in Dalian as well as related cases at home and abroad.The article is divided into four parts:Partâ… :including the chapterâ… and chapterâ…¡, introduces the research background and significance, related concepts and defining of the research scope, as well as research contents and methods, and summarizes the related research and development profile of industrial building's reusing.Partâ…¡:the chapterâ…¢, clarifies the context characteristics of Dalian's modern industrial development, sorting out the distribution, basic information and classification of major existent industrial architectural heritage in Dalian, focusing on the basic survey through which the valuable first-hand information is obtained.Partâ…¢:including chapterâ…£,â…¤andâ…¥. Starting from the analysis on the characteristics of industrial buildings, Chapterâ…£proposes the necessary work in the design process:defining relations between house and base, men and space as well as construction and form, that release the corresponding reusing design methods oriented with environment, space and architecture body in chapterâ…¤. Chapterâ…¥, directed against three types by space form commonly used in previous research, selects three cases respectively corresponding environment, space and architecture body and cross-comparison research on them is carried out, breaking up the conventional type of research, as a response and addition to Chapterâ…¤.Partâ…£:Chapterâ…¦, summarizes the problems and achievements of industrial architectural heritage's reusing in Dalian, gives it corresponding strategies and recommendations and then makes a trial design on a typical industrial building in Dalian,combined with the design ideas and specific methods previously proposed.
