Research On The Theory And Methods Of Existing Residential Parking Improvement Measures

With China's sustained rapid growth in economy and rising living standards, people owning private cars has become a hot topic to talk about. Private car is the inevitable result of social and economic developing, is irreversible historical necessity. However, private cars are rapid spreading all over the urban. Because lacking of consideration about parking problems at the beginning of the planning, private cars swarm into existing residential areas built before 1990s. Parking problem has great affect on the environment and the residents'neighborhood life. How to solve the existing residential parking problems, and establish a harmonious living environment for people and vehicles, is the most urgent task for us.Based on a large number of social surveys, this paper analyzed the status of different category existing residential areas, which is classified by different areas, city size and spatial location. Then, on the basic of analysis on the existing residential parking demand factors, the existing residential parking demand models have proposed. Finally, for example, an existing residence of Beijing, we used the models to predict parking demand and proposed the corresponding parking improvement measures.The paper used the methods of actual survey and data collection, the research isn't only including previous studies but also containing summarized and presented practical research strategies and methods. Combined with a large number of first-hand research data, used the experience at home and abroad for reference, the existing residential parking demand forecast model and the parking improvement have been proposed. The purpose of this paper is to provide some measures to solve the existing residential parking problem.Figure 38, Table 24, Reference34.
