| With the development of society and the improvement of the national ecnomic, people's consciousness of health has a great increase.Humanization design of the buildings in hospital has been widely concerned. Since the 1990s, China had devoted to explore the medical care innovation and concluded a series of policies which resulted in the substantial changes of hospitals' management and service. Chinese medical service open to the world and competed intensely in market spearheaded by national open policy. People oriented design concept profoundly affected the architectural design of Chinese medical buildings Consistented with the the current of time. The humanized design calls for new hospitalized model, modularization, that is to take one department as one independent module where the patients could finish the whole diagnosis-examination-assay-treatment process in the same module, no needing to go back and forth the different medical space. This trend would lead the structure of hospital space to multi-center system and thus the needs and importance for public space in hospital architecture became overwhelming. However, the quality of consulting space in large hospitals has been prominently improved, while the humanized design for the public space of hospital architecture didn't cause enough attention by those managers and architects, and most of them were according to "General hospital architectural design standards".Although some of the hospitals which the author researched have some public space such as halls, atriums, communication and activity center and courtyards, most of them are not suitable for the requirements of those patients behavior. To sum up, based on the spirit to seek truth from facts and professional knowledge of architecture theory and design, the author integrated Environmental behavior,Architectural psychology, Human engineering, Medical psychology and other related theories as Interpersonal distance,Demand level,Behavior pattern,Post-Occupancy Evaluation. From the the scene investigates and case studies, on the one hand I explored the existing condition of hospital public space,on the other hand I researched hospital though the user's behaviors and requirements in order to find out some useful suggestion to optimal humanism design methods of hospital public space. |
