The Design Of The Hospital Public Space Accessibility

People’s demand for medical environment has increased day by day along with the changing rapid development in the contemporary era. In this regard, it is imperative to create a convenient, reasonable and comfortable medical environment. The barrier-free facility plays an crucial role in the space of hospital, which marks the degree of attention of the whole hospital for caring the old, the weak, the sick, the disable and pregnant women.Based on the psychological and behavioral characteristics of hospitalized patients, as well as their experience of using barrier-free facilities, this paper summarizes the relevant theoretical knowledge and rules. Combined with proper design techniques, including the reference of part of elite design cases at home and abroad, it sums up the main points of the design of barrier-free facilities, as well as some reasonable methods for improving the existing unreasonable design of barrier-free facilities.This paper is divided into three chapters. Chapter I mainly explains the study background and significance of this topic, including the status of related studies on the development at home and abroad. Chapter II mainly describes the design theory of barrier-free facilities and the study methods, and so on. Chapter III mainly describes the defects of the design of barrier-free facilities in the medical space, as well as the methods for the improvement.
