Since it has resulted in various structure damages to different extent that the earthquakes took place currently and frequently all over the world, the seismic reinforcement becomes the focal point of our study and research now. In such a case, the country newly formulated the latest norms and suggestions for seismic reinforcement. In addition, the architectures with multistory frame sturcture in the earthquake zone also require reinforcement, as the local seismic fortification intensity increases.In this thesis,modal analysis,seismic accelerate response spectrum analysis and elastic dynamic time-history analysis of before and after shear wall reinforcement of multistory frame structure engineering are performed by using the FEA software of ANSYS. This engineering is located in of Chengdu.This thesis almost analyse the feasibility and serviceability of shear wall reinforcement multistory frame structure.The engineering includes a multistory building of six stories and the structure type of this building is frame structure. The planar arrangement is more complex. The FEA of this building can provide data and results for the design and construction. Above this, it means reference value for the analysis of the same type structures.This thesis is consisted of several parts shown as following.I. After some simplifications, we created the static and dynamic modals corresponded to the actual building.II. After the modal analysis of dynamic model, we derived the selfsustained oscillation character and the main models of structure.III. After the spectrum analysis of the original model, based on the shear force of frame pillar in earthquake influence, we can confirm the location of the shear wall.IV. With the modal analysis, spectrum analysis and dynamic time-history analysis of the shear wall reinforced structure, comparing with the analysis results of before reinforced structure, it proves that the structure pillar shear, sway and total strain energy are obviously improved. And it also fulfills the seismic requirements. Above all it illustrates that shear wall reinforcement multistory frame structure has the feasibility and serviceability.These conclusions acquired in this paper provide some advices of the FEA of shear wall reinforcement of multistory frame building structures.
