With the rapid development of wireless communication technology, its reliability and availability has been greatly enhanced. CBTC (Communication-Based Train Control) is the application of wireless communication technology in the ATC (Automatic Train Control) system, which will be widely used in urban railway transportation. Compared with the traditional system of train control, CBTC system has been greatly promoted and improved both in function and in performance.Automatic Train Supervision (ATS) mainly implements the function of monitoring and controlling of trains in the system.The dispatch operators can also manually manage the system from ATS MMI. Track layout displaying, supervising the travelling of trains through the adjustment of train dispatcher, is the main man-machine interface of ATS. Compared with the traditional track layout displaying, the ATS system based on CBTC provides more information such as the precise position, the model, the direction of trains travelling, and the Movement Authority, etc.The thesis makes a lengthy summary of the present state of CBTC both at home and abroad, the system structures and the principle of design, and meanwhile, analyses the ATS system structure in details, and finally finishes software design of track layout displaying. However, the paper first describes the detailed analysis of function compose of track layout displaying, the topological structure with directed graph, the data chart and the traversal process of trains. Then comes the elaborate indication of the software design of track layout model, including the following parts: data struct of track layout equipment, topological data in line, data interface, the realization of zoom function, the information of alarming and train operation, the location algorithm and the realization of Movement Authority. The last two parts are especially important and can be safely to say that it is the highlight in this paper. In the end, the paper draws a natural conclusion of the project and makes a prospect of the further work we should do to solve the problem.
