The Study On Decorative Art Of Vernacular Architecture In GuanZhong Area

The decorative art of vernacular architecture in GuanZhong area is an important component of Chinese traditional aesthetics, which helps understand the traditional cultural artistic content. The contemporarily mentioned GuanZhong area refers to the Guanzhong Plain where is flat with fertile soil and rich water resources. The natural conditions here can be regarded as the best in Shaanxi province.During the Warring States period, it was Qin's haunt, called " 800 kilometers Qin mountains".This paper chooses the decorative art of vernacular architecture as the object of study, the relevant regions of both natural and human environment as an entry point, through combining a large number of documents inspection and field researchs, so as to analyse and study the decorative art of vernacular architecture features.The paper firstly discusses the vernacular architecture feature in GuanZhong area, which are greatly influenced by the local geographic features, climate, products, and economic conditions, folk art, and so on.. Secondly, by analyzing the relations among the traditional architectural house forms, decoration themes, decoration materials, decoration colors, the paper comes to the style of decorative art of vernacular architecture in GuanZhong area. Finally, through discussing the challenges in the decorative art of vernacular architecture faced in the modern environment, the paper proposes some certain measures to update and develop the decorative art of vernacular architecture, in order to provide some valuable references for the protection and renewal of traditional buildings in Guanzhong area.
