Primary and middle building belongs to the special public buildings, students is relatively high density, frequent activity, flowing, it is necessary to come from the structure form the seismic performance of school building research.This paper introduces several kinds of typical school building structure, combined with our previous earthquake disaster situation, the brick-wood structure, masonry structure and frame structure of school building's major damage forms are summarized, and analyses the cause of damage. SAP2000 finite element analysis software is used to analyze single span frame structure and multiple frame structure with the nonlinear static analysis and the dynamic time history analysis. The analysis results show that single span frame structure with cantilever corridor have a little the degree of statical indeterminacy, and have a big structural displacement and easy collapsed; Multiple frame structure's degree of statical indeterminacy is increased in a certain extent, the structure's seismic performance and collapse resistant capacity is improved, but the increase is not very big. The shear wall is increased the original structure to have multiple seismic-proof frame-shear wall structure to further improve the structure's seismic performance. Considering the amount of shear wall influence the structure of seismic performance, SAP2000 finite element analysis software is used to analyze little wall type of frame-shear wall structure and many wall type of frame-shear wall structure with the nonlinear static analysis and the dynamic time history analysis. The analysis results show that the shear wall is only increasing the structure's stiffness with a little number of shear wall in the earthquake, and help structure reduce its lateral displacement, and can't really play a the first seismic fortification line; before destruction, the shear wall absorp many earthquake energy with many number of shear wall in the earthquake, if the shear wall destruction, these energy will move quickly to frame structure, the load in frame structure will be increasing quickly, the frame structure will produce large plastic deformation due to the a little lateral stiffness, and increase the collapse of structure.
