Discussion On The Development Of Freight Logistics Of Bulk Cargo Based On Combined Transport

As China's rapid economic development, logistics demand for bulk goods has been keeping growing. Combined Transport, as comprehensive organizational forms of transport, can effectively reduce the transportation cost, through integrating advantages of various modes of transport. But the way which only relies on cooperating different modes of transport can no longer meet the diversity and individuality of companies' logistics demand. Thus in order to promote the integration and expansion of combined transport to modern logistics, reasonable using modern technology tools and management methods is a must way.Through research on Combined Transport, combined with previous research on freight logistics, this paper proposes freight logistics method of bulk cargo based on Combined Transport. Firstly, through the definition of Combined Transport, freight logistics and bulk goods, combined with analysis of the status of bulk cargo, this paper conclude the supply and demand characteristics of freight logistics about bulk cargo. Secondly, this paper discuss the principal means of freight logistics from three levels, which are selection of transport modes, coordination of the combined transport junction, coordination between Combined Transport and other elements of logistics. Finally, empirical analysis is used to explain the management application in practice.
