The Traffic Characteristic Analysis Of Urban Entrance Road Based On The Rapid Urbanization

As acceleration of China's urbanization, urban road traffic volume growth, the convergence of the entrance road and urban road traffic are facing unprecedented pressure. In the entrance sections of many domestic cities the traffic conditions are getting worse, more time to pass the entrance, traffic congestion, frequent accidents, all these become bottlenecks to constrain the development of urban transport system. At the same time as expanding of the city limits, city entrance roads become city roads continuously, while the rural roads will be gradually transformed into urban entrance roads, the corresponding transport functions and features have also changed. In view of this change, the entrance road traffic characteristics under the rapid urbanization should be studied so as to lay the foundation for solving traffic problems in our city.By analyzing the relevant content of current process of urbanization, the paper sums up the meaning of rapid urbanization, development characteristics and their impact on society, and gets the connection of rapid urbanization and the national economy, land using and transportation, and focuses on analyzing the urbanization impact on urban traffic, by summarizing, it is obtained that the rapid progress of urbanization impacts on urban entrance road traffic. Secondly, the paper focuses on analyzing of urban road traffic characteristics of entrances road from the respect of the section of entrance road and the intersection, it takes the difference between the highway and urban roads as the breakthrough point in the characteristics analysis for the section, analyses characteristics of urban entrance roads, and ascertains the connection type of the entrance roads and urban roads by the analysis the relationship of urban roads and urban development and summarizes a suitable cross-section type of urban entrance roads; for the traffic characteristics of the intersection it is mainly through the analysis of ordinary intersection types to identify suitable type for the urban entrance road intersections, and analyzes the intersection traffic characteristics using cobweb structure theory, get the optimal number of entrances and exits fit for the different size and shape, and determine a reasonable distance between the intersections of city entrance roads. At last, combining the examples that highway has been transferred to urban entrance fast road in the in the process of rapid urbanization of Chongqing, Inner Ring Expressway, describes the status and development trend of Chongqing inner expressway , by analyzing the traffic characteristics of its entrance roads, determines their level of service, and the paper tables a proposal for the next synthetic arrangement of cross-section aiming at the status quo of Chongqing road cross-section, based on the analysis of Chongqing road characteristics and trends.This paper integrates the pre-existing research results effectively,the research methods and conclusions provide a certain amount of the theoretical and practical learning for the study of urban entrance road planning.
