Design On Wide Area Backup Protection Item Based On Expert System

This paper proposed a wide-area back-up protection scheme based on expert system. The state of the breakers in a certain area and relays of the tradiontal protection are sampled and ayalysed. Cooperated with tradiontal protection, the scheme this paper proposed optimized the tripping function of back-up protection and improvd its selectivity. This scheme is proved to be proper when main protection and circuit breaker failed. By ayalyzing illustrations, it is proved that the wide-area back-up protection scheme based on expert system is prior than tradiontal back-up protection. Also this paper expatiated on the structure and principle of the expert system. At last, data base, knowledge database, rule database, inference engine are designed by C++ language and Access Database. Such a kind of wide-area back-up protection based on expert system is completed.
