As a kind of construction machinery equipment, aerial platform have developed based on lifting machinery, and its wide application, security and stability of performance have promoted development of the whole aerial work machinery. The demand of humanity of product has been put into agenda with the functions' achievement and improvement, and the design of user-centered and technology as object will be a new trend. In the course of human design of aerial platform, working space design, safety protection design, the design of operator interface and display unit are all the important components, so it is necessary to study harder and research further about the knowledge of human engineering theory and analyse in depth about the human factors of aerial platform in order to make the modeling and color satisfy the demand of humanity of product.Firstly, this paper analysed the present situation and problems of aerial work machinery in our country, and draw lessons of the characteristics and orientation from it. Then under the direction of product humanity thought, based on the human engineering theory, and combined with the relevant national standards simultaneously, made an innovative research about the design of aerial platform. The aerial platform has been separated into work platform, control system and supporting part according to the different functions, analysed every parts'human factors and put forward corresponding projects of design. In the course of color application and design, fully considered its specialties on functions, environmental conditions, and aesthetic principle, combined with the mental functions of color, put forward the project of color design, and made a balance between details and the whole. The project of aerial platform satisfied the demand of humanity, which improved the product's appearance quality and the added value; as a result, strengthen the competitiveness among similar products.In the research of this paper, combined the creative design methods with the contents of research about modern human engineering, and in the background of our mechanical products do its best to enhance competitiveness and enlarge its international influence, the fruit of this research subject will not only have a guiding value in the similar products design, but also provide new ideas for the development of the whole of construction machinery industry.
