According to the requirement of IEC 61850 as China substations network communication standards,this paper develops modeling of master station in fault information system based on IEC 61850 and simulates the communication system and related services between the control center and the substation based on this standard in the software environment. In the master station modeling process of fault information system, this mainly focuses on the the design of hierarchical structure and content of the model, including information modeling and service modeling. In communication system between the control center and the substation, this programs typical service modules according to the abstract communication service interface standard. This communication system was been developed with the tool VC++. NET, and it has friendly visual operation interface. This adopts.Net Remoting remote communication, TCP/IP protocol and. Net XML file parsing techniques to complete the entire process of communication services. The establishment of master station modeling and the design of the communication system between control center and substation is prevail worth for standard modeling based on IEC 61850 in reality and is significant for the software development of fault information processing system.
