| With rapid socioeconomic development in Xiaoshan as well as its urbanization, development of power grid becomes restricted by urban resources. To comprehend the relationships between power supply and demand, among grids next to, or resources required for grid construction in Xiaoshan, the 220kV target grid of Xiaoshan is studied in this paper. A survey on urban system planning and land planning of Xiaoshan is made, to calculate the multi-year load forecast. According to Technical Principle of Zhejiang Grid Planning, geographical layout and capacity planning of Xiaoshan 500kV and 220kV substations within multi-year is presented. Additionally, topology of 220kV target grid in Xiaoshan is researched and verified with grid planning's final goal. Researches in this paper can be utilized to improve power supply reliability, economy of grid constructions and operations, which essentially optimizes the power grid construction resources in urban planning.
