Relay protection has been greatly promoted by its testing technique. The congcept based on the embedded industrial control computer results in many problems of traditional relay protection testing device, such as high cost, big system and so on. Making use of the mightiness data calculating and signal processing capability of the DSP chip, the paper puts forward a design of new type of relay protection testing equipment based on"PC+DSP platform", develops equipment firmware procedure of hardware platform and the application of USB Device Driver. Considering the status of simulation for transformer internal faults and inrush current, this paper adopts the liner model to build the non-linear transient model of fault transformer. Basing on this model, this paper develops the real-time emulation testing system of the transformer's transient fault. Aimed at the tester's actual working conditions, this paper analyses principles of power circuit, designs hardware circuit of I/O module, discusses anti-interference strategy of relay protection testing system.
