Urban parks are important to our daily life in public space; they're containing history, spread culture, show cityscape. Face with the impact of globalization, a number of urban parks pursuit "modernization" and "internationalization" blindly. There have been a number of parks that lack of national characteristics and geographical characteristics. Lack of geographical and cultural characteristics, parks lost their lasting vitality.During the city park design, it is necessary to respect for nature, respect for local customs habits, but also historical and cultural which is useful to increase the cultural connotation of the park. Only when the park design combined with the local culture, it will create a harmonious and sustainable urban park. So the study of urban parks in the expression of regional culture is important.This thesis begins with the regional culture; try to analyze the interdependent relations between regional cultures and urban parks; Sum up of cultural expression problems in modern urban parks. Combining with related theory and practice, author research vector form which express geographical and cultural. In following, this thesis explores the principle and the way to express local culture to propose a feasibility programs to solve this problem.
