| Beijing Financial Street is located within the Second Ring Road of Beijing, southwest of the old city, it is from Fu Cheng Men Nei Avenue in the north to Fu Xing Men Nei Avenue in the south and from the West Second Ring Road in the west and to Tai Ping Qiao Avenue in the east. It began its construction in the 1990's and has approximately 100 square kilometers in this area which concentrated in the functions of financial industry. After years of development, Beijing Financial Street has begun to expand itself, and of which West Expansion Project of Beijing Financial Street has been started.This thesis is based on the research of urban space form of Beijing Financial Street. Summing up the field of urban-related research methods and results in the past, and taking inheritance and association in urban development as a start point, this thesis uses two clues which are vertical axis and horizontal axis based on time and space. In this way, the investigation on urban form of Beijing financial Street and its surroundings go on and finally lead the research into the area of urban spatial texture, structure, sequence. In the time vertical axis, there are three typical urban space forms in history which are hutong-courtyard, Danwei-courtyard and Financial Street. In the space horizontal axis, people have their perspective and perception in the coexisted urban space sequence of this region from the three historical periods. Through research interviews, documentation and case studies, this thesis trys to describe the change process and the Status Causes in urban form and spatial texture of Beijing Financial Street, and also point out the deficiencies and shortcomings in construction of urban form after "big large built". In the purpose of coping with rapid economic development, the urban renewal faces a new situation. This thesis attempts to provide some reference points and views to the following constructions of Beijing Financial Street. |
