With the continuous spread of the phenomenon of globalization, the production level of humanity has experienced an unprecedented large-scale development, but we suffered from the lost of the regional characteristics at the same time. After the industrial revolution, mankind has experienced a process of change. Such as the unprecedented increase of production efficiency, the utmost abundance of material, and the standardization for production. This revolutionary change has virtually related to all areas. In the field of architecture, the form and the aesthetic orientation of modern architecture have become ubiquitous, but this kind of change in terms of traditional architecture is almost fatal. Since 1930s, the architects and the architectural theorists from around the world had already embarked on a reflection of modern architecture. With the development of its theory and practice, the regional architecture has showed the trends of adapting the construction of modern architecture, and combined with modern architecture. On the basis, this paper mainly researched on the design of rural primary and secondary school with regional characteristics. In our country, as one of the most important public buildings, the building image of rural primary and secondary schools is often ignored. In the field research we found that, the status of school buildings in rural areas is the blind pursuit of modern building techniques, and the school image was incompatible with the formation of regional characteristics. Many rural areas has kept good geographical features due to its geography, economic and other conditions. In this context, the architects are often able to use the rural area materials, traditional The study from the State Natural Science Fund to "adapt the quality of education in primary and secondary schools and architectural space environment model" financing technologies and other means, combined with modern construction techniques appropriate to reflect the geographical characteristics of rural areas, and reduce the cost at the same time. This concept has been confirmed in practice in many projects.Through the research and analysis of good examples, this paper submitted the principles and methods for building rural primary and secondary schools with rich regional geographical characteristics.
