In2008the "5·12Wenchuan earthquake" disaster area to Sichuan school building has caused tremendous damage, and suffered heavy casualties. With the reconstruction work to actively carry out, raised in central" strive to two years basically completed the targets originally set for three years", after three years of strong support, the vast majority of primary and secondary school buildings have been completed and put into use. As the education building, is not only to impart knowledge education function place, should be to reflect local cultural background, the propagation of local characteristic folk culture of spirit of place. Sichuan disaster area not only landform climate is complex, or a multiracial, mainly including Qiang, Tibetan, Han, Hui and other four ethnic groups, the multicultural, historical and cultural resources, unique. This article is based on the above special natural and cultural characteristics as the breakthrough point, explore the Sichuan disaster area reconstruction of school buildings in regional design method.This paper first discusses the topic background and research significance, the research purpose, and introduces the basic theory, provides a theoretical basis for research; and then, the author through a large number of data access, the Sichuan reconstruction after disaster area background factors and regional architecture are discussed in detail; secondly the author, through the questionnaire survey and interviews observation, analysis and discusses the reconstruction of school buildings in regional design present situation and the characteristic; then, in view of the above, the author from the natural environment, folk culture, the characteristics of the times, as well as the materials technology four aspects, for the reconstruction of school buildings in regional design method of in-depth study and research, summarized the systematic reconstruction of school buildings in regional design method; finally, using the above design method for a given example is optimized design.
