Architectural Space Reflect The Cultural Spirit

This article takes the Guan Di Temple in Haizhou, Yun city of Shan Xi province for example, it mainly researches the relationship between the traditional architecture space design and the spirit of culture. Through the analysis of cultural background and areal environment of the ancient city, from the architectural perspective, using the theories related to architecture, the article analyzes the temple from the relationship between architecture and environment, building orientation and fixedbase, the development of the cultural subject and the space progressive, the ways to control the architectural plane,the architectural scale and controlling ways during processing,the entirely shaping of space environment. Discussing the relationship between architecture space and its cultural subject of Guan Di Temple in Haizhou.On that basis,I take the Guan Di Temple and the Confucius Temple in Qufu which also has the saint cultural background to comparatively analyze. Contrasting the two temples'differences in architectural characteristic and space design methods which are formed in its different cultural subject, aiming at moving forward to deepen the conception of traditional architecture space design methods.Above all the studies,the article sums up three primary features which are reflected by the Guan Di Temple in Haizhou:The first of all is cultural subject and cultural structure have a meaning of whole,they are the soul of traditional architecture design.Cultural subject and cultural structure are more deep～seated cultural connotation implicated beneath the traditional courtyard combination space,and also they are the determining factor of traditional architecture space combination and space character. Secondly,traditional architecture space design achieve the annotation from architecture space to cultural subject through controlling quantitatively of architectural scale and vision scale.The temple through the controlling of vision scale to achieve the handle of space scale,such as architecture location, distance,scale and so on,thus, the temple create unique space which has special cultural spirit.Thirdly,comprehensive application of many kinds of design elements,achieving a whole creativity of architectural environment artistic. The design elements application of environment, literature, handwriting, landscape,and so on, have a lot of effection on expression of cultural subject,comprehensively create architectural artistic space,this is a unique excellent experience in Chinese traditional architecture design.
