The percolation of mountain and poor drainage make the tunnel pavement always works in a wet environment, besides, the narrow space makes the phenomenon of traffic channelization in tunnel seriously, therefore, the premature failure of tunnel pavement is so common, especially of the water-damage and the reflective crack. A new type of waterproof and crack resistance material—fiberglass-polyester paving mat is researched in detail through laboratory test and theoretical analysis in this paper, then, according to the research results, the test roads are built in Chongqing Belt Expressway and ChengYu Expressway, the service performance of fiberglass-polyester paving mat is evaluated through the performance testing of test roads.First of all, this paper investigates the diseases of tunnel pavement in Chongqing, proposes that laying fiberglass-polyester paving mat can be used to prevent premature failure of tunnel pavement. Then, the type and dosage of bonding oil of fiberglass polyester paving mat are confirmed through the shear test; according to the special environment of tunnel pavement, the concept of interlayer bonding water stability and durability are put forward for the first time, uses soaking shear and shear fatigue test to study the interlayer bonding water stability and durability of different anti-cracking materials, deeply reveals the effect of preventing water-damage and reflective crack of fiberglass-polyester paving mat.Secondly, the mechanical mechanism of fiberglass-polyester paving mat to preventing reflective crack is studied through finite element method. On the basis of measuring interlayer bonding coefficient of different anti-cracking materials and asphalt concrete also cement concrete, the tensile stress of asphalt layer is calculated, theoretically proves that fiberglass-polyester paving mat has the advantage of preventing reflective crack and is much better than the other two materials.Finally, according to the results of experimental study and theoretical analysis, the test roads are constructed in Chongqing Belt Expressway and ChengYu Expressway, then,the construction technology and quality controlling method of fiberglass-polyester paving mat are summarized. Field pulling-out test and radar detection prove that fiberglass-polyester paving mat possesses excellent bonding performance and it is well proved that fiberglass-polyester paving mat's anti-crack performance is much better than waterproofing membrane through field investigation on ChengYu Expressway.
