Along with our country's ongoing efforts to increase Energy-saving and Emission Reduction, as an important industry of our primary energy consumption, electric power enterprises'work in Energy-saving and Emission Reduction is an emergency. At present, China's electricity supply-demand market has been a gradual shift from supply-side changes to the demand-side market. In the fierce market competition, the power plant only to run continuously to improve the unit level and lower electricity costs can realize the maximize profits. Therefore, investigation of Energy-saving Emission Reduction and Optimization for Power Plants is very important.In accordance with national requirements and the characteristics of the Thermal Power Plants, and the deficiencies of management in Power Station in the traditional single-stage power plant, the essay made an integrated targets in plant-level and unit-level economic indicators index system in terms of energy saving; sum and analyzed the necessity and purpose of the implement of performance assessment, and improved power plant's performance appraisal system; according to loss analysis method, it confirmed the optimal model in the units working, including boiler efficiency, turbine heat and high pressure cylinder in the calculation model of efficiency and Energy Loss of models, proposed a new target value determination method, and studied the determination of baseline value the unit-level economic indicators in different work conditions; based on the needs analysis and research, using a combined structured method and prototype method, designed and developed a DCS-based Energy-saving Emission Reduction and optimization real-time system for Power Plants.The system has been made commissioning and trial operation in the Thermal Power Plants. It has been found that under the supervision of Energy-saving Emission Reduction and optimization real-time system for Power Plants, the system can improve the unit's operating level, lower electricity costs and improve the economic benefits of power stations, finally achieved energy saving in Thermal Power Plants.
