Energy Conservation & Emission Reduction takes effect in optimizing power industrial structure to solve the salient energy problems. With saving energy and reducing emission policy gradually carried out, it is supposed to cause the adjustment of power sources layout and capacity as well as the diverse types of grid-connected power sources, which will add difficulties to guarantee the secure and reliable operation of power grid. On the premise of that power system is in safe and reliable operation, it is of great importance to fully assess the influence of power sources type and layout adjustment in order to establish an energy-saving, secure and reliable power grid.The voltage fluctuation is studied when wind turbines are connected to grid. Based on equivalent circuit of asynchronous generator and DFIG, the power output equations of both wind turbine types are set up. In order to optimize the active and reactive power of the system with wind turbines, the Primal-Dual Interior Pointed Method with voltage stability index that fits wind farm is proposed, with the minimum active power loss as objective function and voltage stability index and reactive power compensation added to the constraint conditions. The example shows effectiveness and computation performance of the proposed method.The reliability of power system with grid-connected PV arrays is also assessed. With ambient temperature and proposed solar irradiance model, the output power of PV array is set up on the basis of PV equivalent circuit. The reactive power of grid-connected PV system and power flow of grid is alternately iterated. Conditions for the outage PV arrays removal are put forward when characteristics of PV arrays fully considered. An IEEE 14 system is applied to assess the reliability of grid-connected PV system, proving that proper access of PV array to grid is able to improve its reliability. Meanwhile, solar irradiance and different PV devices repair plans also make impacts on power system.Finally, grid zoning equivalent calculation concept is put forward with relevant and irrelevant outage prejudged and reliability index relationship deduced among subzones and the whole grid. It is through abridging the assessment time of each state that accelerates the total computing speed. Four power sources adjustment plans of grid in year 2015 of an area in East China are performed to calculate the reliability, angle stability, voltage stability and power loss, which brings out that appropriate access of wind farms and PV arrays will improve the secure and reliable performance of bulk power system and proper adjustment of power sources layout will decrease the negative effects.
