The development of power industry growing fast, the electrical equipment of substation, transmission lines and power station in the power system are also more long-term security and operating high, in order to prevent major accidents from occurring, condition monitoring and fault diagnosis of power equipment is very important. In view of the status quo that partial discharge in high-voltage electrical equipment causes significant impacts on the safe operation of the power system, an ultraviolet endoscopic system of power equipment based on embedded system is presented. It consists of ultraviolet endoscopic probe, embedded computer system and GPRS module. With"solar-blind"ultraviolet sensors, the power equipment discharge can be correctly detected by detecting the special wavelength of ultraviolet radiation. The system combines ultraviolet discharge detection and video endoscopic technology for special electrical equipment internal environment and can tele - monitor ultraviolet discharge of power equipment through GPRS. The system can run reliably and effectively to prevent the power accident caused by the discharge, which is proved by the simulation and high-voltage discharge test.The main works of this paper are listed as follows:â‘ Researched on the overall demand of UV endoscopic system, image acquisition technology, embedded computer technology, the UV pulse detection principle and GPRS wireless communication technology;â‘¡Researched on the hardware system design of UV endoscopic system. Including the construction of embedded computer hardware platform, UV glimpse inside the head of development and GPRS module choice. Construction of the embedded hardware platform selected ARM9 chip; in probe of selected Mini type CMOS camera and the company's R2868 HAMAMATSU UV sensors; selected in the GPRS module Siemens MC35 module;â‘¢Researched on software system development process based on embedded Linux. Including the set up of virtual machine, research and application of embedded Qt and embedded software development process based on Qt;â‘£Researched on the software system design of UV endoscopic system. Including the construction of embedded computer software platform, UV endoscopic system software design based on Qtopia and software design based on GPRS networks. In the construction of embedded computer software platform, researched on guide the process of embedded systems, Linux systems, drivers, file system,and graphical interface Qtopia; In the UV endoscopic system software design based on Qtopia, researched on video image acquisition process and UV pulse detection achieved; In the software design based on GPRS networks, researched on serial programming under Linux and GPRS programming.The system provides data base and technology support for state monitoring and fault diagnosis to the electrical equipment, and has great practical significance in spreading and applying the new technologies of industrial endoscopy.
