In recent years, single panels stressed skin diaphragms may have a certain degree of quantitative calculation, which has been applied in some European countries.With the rapid development of the machinery manufacturing and CNC tooling technology,some Bite-Type sheet by 360 degrees has been widely applied in Roof-systems for its excellent waterproofing effect in the practical engineering, and this has reduced the application of the panel using profiled sheets connected by the self-tapping screws, and research on the latter are no longer suitable for the application.So the experiment and research on this new type of Bite-Type stressed skin diaphragms are necessary,which is on purpose of reflecting the true working statement on the structures and providing some help and reference to the structural engineers during their design and research.On the base of summarizing the research on the single panels stressed skin diaphragms made by previous researchers, some international experiment method and research associated with the stressed skin diaphragms are referenced in this article. The shear test are carried out on the connectors of the diaphragms consist of"HV-490B"type profiled sheet applied widely in the demestic engineering and the whole specimen. Later in this article, the majar finite element analysis software-Ansys is used to simulate and calculate with respect to the stressed skin diaphragms,both with the data and results analyzed and compared.The content of the experiment and the analysis will be presented,divided into three parts in this paper.During the first part, the research concentrated on the various parameters, failure mode and methods of calculating the ultimate strength and the range of the stiffness which affected mechanical properties of the skin on the support attachments,with the test operation and data analysis on certain number of connections of the Bite-Type profiled sheet by 360 degrees.Ultimate strength and the computing method of the stiffness on the support's connecting point will be verified.The second part is the experiment of the Bite-Type profiled sheet by 360 degrees assemblies. The specimen is made of"HV-490B"type profiled sheet,whose experiment results about the In-plane shear properties would be campared with Kok Chi typeâ…¢,and the method of determining the ultimate bearing capacity for such kind of stressed skin diaphragm are intended to be acquired. The third part analyzed shear strength,stiffness and deformation of stressed skin diaphragms assemblies adoping Ansys(the finite element software),which are based on the data of the connection performance and the integral testing,to figure out the differences between experimental values and theoretical analysis.
