Transportation security is a difficult problem for administrator in cold region. Thus road engineers in the world give attention to the study of deicing and snow melting technology. Salt antifreezing asphalt mixture is a new mixture with salt which is added in asphalt mixture directly to replace filler. Freezing temperature of water is reduced because of efflorescence on the road surface. That will delay snow and water from icing up. So, it is a effective method to anti-ice-snow.Thus the application technologies of salt antifreezing asphalt mixture are studied in the paper. It includes design of mixture proportion, snow melting mechanism, anti-ice-snow performance and the key construction technology.The results show that it is a practicable method to design the mixture proportion of salt antifreezing asphalt mixture by using filler equivalent volume replacement method. The influence of salt addition in quantity to Mashall volume parameters is not obvious when the aggregate grading is identical. By controlling the salt addition in quantity, the performance of salt antifreezing asphalt mixture is able to meet the demand of the code.In order to evaluate the antifreezing effect of salt antifreezing asphalt pavement, this paper determinates the aim value of salinity based on the dilute solution law. By determining the conductivity of salt solution, it analyses the law of efflorescence and the influencing factor of salt antifreezing asphalt pavement. This paper analyses the antifreezing effect persistence of salt antifreezing asphalt pavement based on the research result in Japan.The experiment sections are constructed in 2008.The construction technology of salt antifreezing asphalt pavement was comprehensive summarized. The performance of salt antifreezing asphalt pavement is all right after 2years later.
