The latest cutting-edge international technology for bituminous mixture modified has been gradually adopted "the mixture modified" from "the bitumen modification". From domestic and foreign research and practice, the compound polymer modified agent for bituminous mixture modified have become mainstream trend and can improve the damaged resistance of bituminous mixture. So, the direction of a breakthrough is to improve asphalt pavement performance.The PE-Y anti-rutting additive applied in the study is a new type of compound polymer modified agent for bituminous mixture modified. In this paper,there are the design method on the bituminous mixture mixed with PE-Y anti-rutting additive and the effects of performance improvement after adding PE-Y anti-rutting additive as the main research contents.Firstly, aggregate gradation design and test method of SAC had been optimized to adjust granular composition used in test,then the analysis method by comparison was used to determine the mixture of indoor mixing process. A reasonable dosage of PE-Y anti-rutting additive was chosed through the analysis of asphalt mixtures with different dosage of PE-Y anti-rutting additive. After that, taking into account the inherent characteristics of the bituminous mixture mixed with PE-Y anti-rutting additive,this paper also systematically investigated and elaborated on how to use the Marshall test for the full mix design method on the bituminous mixture mixed with PE-Y anti-rutting additive in the current general asphalt mixture design method, and accompanied by examples of evidence.In this paper,the text to the bituminous mixture mixed with PE-Y anti-rutting additive in high-temperature performance was carried out by rutting tests in the laboratory. The results show that the high-temperature performance improvement effect is remarkable after adding PE-Y anti-rutting additive, making the bituminous mixture in the harsh conditions coupled heat and water, still has a strong ability to resist permanent deformation.In older to compare the improved effect of bituminous mixture, there are a series verification of pavement performance of bituminous mixture mixed with PE-Y anti-rutting additive and SBS polymer modified asphalt mixture in this paper. The results show that mixing PE-Y anti-rutting additive was much better than using SBS modified asphalt to improve high-temperature performance.This fully demonstrates the superiority of adding PE-Y anti-rutting additive to bituminous mixture in improving high-temperature stability. In addition, this paper also designed a model to analyze the optimum price-to-performance system.It can be more comprehensive and quantitative analysis of the pavement performance and economic advantages of bituminous mixture mixed with PE-Y anti-rutting additive,and accurately evaluate the technical and economic benefits with the application of PE-Y anti-rutting additive.
