| In recent years, Indonesian Buton Rock Asphalt(BRA) has gained considerable public concern for its excellent pavement performance, simple construction method and economical price.However, at present,the technical standards,materials design, construction techniques and quality control methods of BRA modified asphalt and its mixture has not been formed,which limits its popularization and application to some extent. The paper in-depth studies the performances of BRA modified asphalt and its mixture based on theory analysis and laboratory experiment.The paper studies properties of BRA modified asphalt,basis asphalt and SBS modified asphalt based on penetration grade and PG grade.The results show that, BRA can improve several performances of the basis asphalt greatly, such as the temperature susceptibility,high-temperature performance,low-temperature performance and resistance to aging. With the increasing of BRA content,the improvement of performence is more effective.Through the mix design and pavement performance of modified with different content BRA asphalt mixture, basis asphalt mixture and SBS modified asphalt mixture with AC-13C and AC-20C,the results show that the BRA modified asphalt mixture has excellent pavement performance and mechanical properties. "Dry" and "Wet" process doped with little effect on the performance of BRA modified asphalt mixture.Based on cost-effective, the paper recommends the optimal content of BRA.According to apply a series of technical means,such as chemical analysis, X-ray diffraction analysis, scanning electron microscopy analysis and thermal analysis to study the modification process of BRA, the paper reveals the modification mechanism of BRA from micro-leve.Through paving and performance testing of Jing-Zhu and Guang-Wu test road,the paper verifies the laboratory testing research findings,and summarizes the construction technology and quality control methods of BRA modified asphalt concrete pavement.The economical analysis shows that BRA has favorable economic and social benefits and extensive application prospects. |
