As our social economy and transportation business developing rapidly, the road traffic and axle load increase successive, traffic channelizing phenomenon is more and more obvious.Highway asphalt pavement often happend serious rut diseases especially in the summer and long steep grade section. Anti-rutting demand is more and more higher at these factors.Adding anti-rutting agent in the asphalt mixture is a effective way to prevent the rut disease.But, most of the anti-rutting agent is import and the price highly. However, domestic production develop lately, it performance need to evaluation and examination.This paper based on the western traffic construction scientific technology projects of ministry of communication (200531822305) "rocks asphalt resource development and road performance study" and it developed materials of RA anti-rutting agent. Rely on the construction of RA anti-rutting agent asphalt concrete pavement at the intermediate surface course of long steep grade section of Chongqing Fengjie to Yunyang highway.Studied the road performance, action mechanism and construction techniques by laboratory test and on-site experimental road paving.Studies show that add RA anti-rutting agent increased the oil of asphalt mixture, this study based on asphalt-aggregate ratio of asphalt mixture added with different amount of RA anti-rutting agent.Results of rutting test show that RA anti-rutting agent can significantly improve the high temperature stability performance of asphalt mixture. Course texture gradation can play a good role to improve high-temperature performance of asphalt mixture than fine. Immersion Marshall test,freeze-thaw splitting test and low temperature trabecular bending test results show that RA anti-rutting agent almost no effect to the water stability and low temperature performance of the asphalt mixture. Heat oven to simulate aging test results show that RA anti-rutting agent improve the anti-aging properties of asphalt mixture. But, production in a high temperature would weaken the anti-aging properties of RA anti-rutting agent asphalt mixture.Through the extraction test, three index test and brookfield viscosity test, analysis the material composition of RA anti-rutting agent and study the texture of asphalt mixture, the action mechanism was to be analyzed and explaned. Rely on the construction of RA anti-rutting agent asphalt concrete pavement, studied the production technology and quality control methods and standards for RA anti-rutting agent asphalt pavement.
