With increasing competition in the market, how to reduce the development time and cost of products has become a research hotspot in the modern enterprise. In the industrial field, Reverse Engineering is paid attention more and more, and has been used widely. Reverse Engineering is one of the most research hotspots in CAD/CAM fields, and one of the key technologies of which is surface reconstruction. Based on Reverse Engineering,Surface modeling is to absorb, digest and improve the range of analysis methods and application of technology results. In order to shorten the gap of the exhaust valve bar and vane wheel technology with the world's advanced technology, we collect data with coordinate measuring machine, and model the exhaust valve bar and vane wheel with application software, and conduct the in-depth study and exploration on the surface key technologies of Reverse Design.By analyzing the structural characteristics of the components, we choose the data collection planning program that is the method combination of contour scanning and location with coordinate measuring machine. Meanwhile, about data processing, we adopted visual inspection and the function of Imageware to remove noise points. In addition, to shorten the point cloud data use arc-deviation method, the nearest point sorted by section line generated topological relations between point clouds.The paper mainly studies the model reconstruction method on basis of the feature and restraint in Pro/E. Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire3.0 is taken as software platform. The major reverse model is constructed by Pro/SCATOOLS of Pro/E. Based on Data point clouds, restore the characteristics and constraints of the components adopted backward reasoning with forward design methods. And through the characteristics of solid model reconstruction, model reconstruction is achieved by Boolean operations.In order to established the accuracy evaluation of models, the paper research a variety of error causes and effects of anti-seeking models, and proposed model to evaluate the accuracy of reverse curvature of the surface targets and based on the quality of analytical methods, through effective error control to bar and of the reconstruction model accuracy meet the requirements.
