AC drive has become the main method in the domain of electric traction. The AC drive test-rig for electric traction is the key test equipment for AC drive system. The AC drive test-rig for electric traction in our school adopted Energy-fed-type scheme, which has advantages such as simple structure, flexible control and high energy utilization ratio. At present, this scheme of AC drive for electric traction test equipment is the most advanced one in the world. The control board of test-rig system based on digital signal processor TMS320F243 of TI Inc. used the calculating ability and peripheral interface circuit of DSP. Controller Area Network (CAN) bus has been used for system data communication also, which realized joint control of control boards and console in system.This subject redesigned a system control board for test-rig based on high performance digital signal processor TMS320F2812 of TI Inc., in order to improve the function and reliability of the former control system. The functions of control board could meet the requirements of existing test-rig. With abundant peripheral interface circuit and JTAG interface which combined with TI's integrated develop and debug system: CCS, the control board would be a powerful DSP develop system for test of motor control.This paper introduces the development of AC drive test-rig and the application status of micro processor technology firstly, then it analyses the system performance and interface parameters of existing control system of test-rig, puts forward the project of redesigning system control board to the purpose of improving system performance and reliability; The key work is to redesign and make system control board,the board using TMS320F2812 as the core includes many function modules such as power, clock, memory, communication, PWM output, speed measurement, analog I/O, digital I./O and protection. The communication module above includes multi communication modes: RS232, RS485 and CAN. Electromagnetic Interference has been considered emphatically in design and making in order to improve performance and reliability. In the end, software for interface testing is programmed with the mixed C language and assembly language by using Integrated Development Environment for DSP named CCS of TI Inc. as developing tool. Function modules of control board have been tested by combo of software and hardware; the results indicate that every interface function of control board could satisfy design requirement, the board met design goals anticipative.
