With the incorrect settings of technological parameter or improper geometrical parameters in automobile panel stamping process, which easy cause some forming defects such as wrinkling, fracture, spring back and deformation. Producing tooling by experience however often requires more time to repeatedly debug and modify, which increase the cost, imperceptibly. With the development of computer technology, it is possible to use the simulation method to aid mold design. By using this method to study and emulate on the sheet forming, it could be possible to have a fuller understanding of the distributions of stress and strain during the forming process, to predict the potential forming defects. This provides the reliable criterion and reasonable parameters in the mold technologic analysis and design.The paper introduces the overall design of the die, the structure, the classification, characteristics, sheet metal forming process analysis, numerical simulation and stamping process theory, the system of automobile covering stamping process, and further studied the stamping simulation of the key technology.Then select a car after floor as the research object. Through the material forming analysis software for the Auto Form-stamping simulation, the floor after the finite element simulation of sheet metal forming the basic steps and the simulation analysis of some key technical problems are discussed, and the forming limit the feasibility of simulation, and probes into the process of sheet metal forming, the wrinkling of the possible causes of springback, crack, and the solutions. Through the simulation parameters optimization, the simulation results are correct.Finally, the paper discusses the body of vehicle quality caused by quality, and analyzed the influence of body quality and solutions, and a car hood is studied the plate surface concave formation causes and solutions, respectively by adjusting hydraulic parameters, fixed drawbead shape and position, increase the material measures such as thoroughly solved the width of the plate surface concave hood quality defects.This study found that, by using the material forming analysis software for Auto-Form of covering parts forming process, can replace some preliminary experiments show that the design process, and the defect in the preliminary simulation results, and give guidance to solve practical production, can save time to fix module, covering parts production practice has certain directive significance.
