| Electric power is one of the most prevalent power in modern society. Nowadays, there is serious waste in the using of power, which inflences the building of harmonious society. Additionally,due to insufficiency of management intelligentization and informationization of power, which causes serious waste of manpower and finance. In order to resolve the problems of power using and management in HFUT, our university makes positive use of the chance of establishment of energy-efficient regulatory system in advanced colleges, proposed by Ministry of Education. The developed data gateway has been successfully used in the energy-efficient regulatory system of our university.Based on the features of data gateway, we use embedded system in the design, the hardware structure is simple and reliable, while the main body of software uses foreground and background procedure, then the developed data gateway has fully realized the functions. The hardware of data gateway uses modularization design, which classified as CPU core modular, power modular, communication modular(serial communication and ethernet communication), human-machine modular, debugging modular, external storage modular, work state displaying modular and so on. The software design uses foreground and background procedure, and the main function has been realized in the pause, so as to secure the punctuality of the reaction. Additionally, the software has successfully optimized and implemented TCP/IP protocols. In order to guarantee the reliability and security of data transmission, all of the data has been processd by MD5 Checkout and AES Encryption.
