Knowledge Based Digital Ship Structural Design And Programming

The core of digital ship design is fast and intelligent and the base of it is parameter setting.The improvement of ship design technology, especially the computer supported digital ship design technology, is a must following road to enhance the China ship design and building which can also improve the international competitiveness of Chinese ship industry. It has been a recognition by the academia and the industry. By using the computer technology and principle of KBE (Knowledge Based Engineering), the ship structural design can realize fast and intelligent and promote the efficiency.In this paper, "the fast generation system of mother vessel based structure design plan" was developed by using VB which combines the principle of KBE. This system can automaticly finish the design of midship section and deliver a plan of target ship. The study is composed of seven parts.1.For the mother vessel based structural design, the general design process and the experiencial knowledge of experts was studied, then implemented by progamming on the request of KBE.2.The principle of KBE was introduced with longitudinal strength and local strength requirement of CCS.3.The knowledge of experts based optimization technique was studied by minimizing midship section area as target and taking class strength requirement and industry reality as constraint condition.4.The parameter setting and the target ship structure generation strategy in the automatic system design progress was studied.5.The system architecture was studied, including the exploration platform,the storage mode of different knowledge, the system structure and program process.6.The system was used to automatically design a container ship. After the design stage, the target ship was compared with the mother ship to study the change of the structrue.7.The application of digital ship design on the three-dimensional modelling was studied with the cooperation from others.This paper has made some studies on the KBE based ship design which can realize fast and intelligent. The analysis methods and process are valuble for the similar digital ship design technique research.
