With the increasing knowledge density in the CAD/CAE integrated 3D design environment,knowledge-based engineering(KBE)method is gaining more and more attention.This paper focuses on application of KBE method in the design,analysis and optimization process of the ship structure,with the help of Dassault System 3D Experience Platform.For CAD part,the procedures of creating ship design knowledge library are standardized,the library of components,design rules and component using rules are created in the knowledge library,the design checks and design recommendations are finished with EKL.For CAE part,the geometry cleanup principals are pointed out,and plugins from Rule Based Reasoning(RBR)are created with Python in Abaqus,which are used for pre-and-post procedure of FEM analysis.Based on CAD and CAE process,the neural network is adopted as knowledge reproduction method to accomplish optimization tasks,and one ship's cross section is optimized this way.During the optimization process,the sampling method is upgraded to reach the BP-MC reliability calculation algorithm,and reliability constrained optimization is performed on the design scheme.The innovations of this thesis is the application of KBE method in the CAD/CAE integrated 3D design environment,which is new and promising for China ship building industry.On the 3D Experience Platform,the whole process of design,analysis,optimization and validation is improved and perfectly compatible with each other in data respect,which is valuable for the research of whole 3D design process.
