Coal has the largest reserves, production, and the most economical and most practical energy in china. Coal plays a vital role in development of national economy. Shenhua Group Co.Ltd is the largest coal enterprise groups in china. According to the primary forecast, the coal output of Shenhua will reach 300 million tons in 2009 and the shipping output will reach 230 million tons.Tianjin Port Group Co.Ltd and Shenhua Group Co. Ltd are jointly funded and construct the"Nanjiang Shenhua Tianjin Coal Terminal Project". At the same time, the second phase construction of coal terminal is determined.In order to imply the spirit of the scientific concept development and make new contributions to environmental protection construction of Binhai new area, Shenhua Tianjin coal terminal company used a closed gard silo to replace traditional methods of open-air storage to minimize environmental pollution. Due to rescue investment in infrastructure, How to determine reasonable storage capacity becomes most important to meet economic demand.The technolgy of silos are distinct from traditional craft stacker yard. Therefore, apply a simple formula for a standardized approach to calculate is difficult. This paper based on the practical situation to analysis the storage capacity through the system simulation methods, besides the sacle of silos is demonstrated.
